Kingfisher #fridayflash #poem

The first time I saw this picture I immediately thought of the Kingfisher’s we have here in the Pacific Northwest.

Kingfisher, kingfisher

Sing me a song

Of where you go

When the nights are long

You brave the ocean

and the snowy breeze

Where do you huddle

On nights like these?

    Beautiful poem, thank you.

Sweet poem. Do you have Kingfishers around your way? They look lovely.

  3. Nice poem. Kingfishers are such determined birds. They stake out a territory and make their presence known. And those that live here in the PNW are huge!

This is a nice homage and super-short. Didn’t expect that on the other side of your Twitter link. You know, I’ve never seen a kingfisher?

  5. How perfectly delightful, Lara 🙂
