Green #fridayflash

Green eyes

So much going on this week. Decided to do another color flash.

Green

With one knee on the ground he trailed his fingers down the side of her cheek and closed her eyelids with the tip of his fingers. He smiled to himself; he’d always remember how green her eyes were and how he would get lost in them. He had been different from her other suitors and always paid attention to how the different shades of green she wore affected the color of her eyes. A light green would make them sea-green and a dark green would turn them into emeralds. No matter what she wore the sparkle of her eyes would light up the room. He stood up and pressed the shovel into the ground. With a sigh he threw a load of dirt onto her pale face. It was such a shame he’d never look into those eyes again.

I guessed where you were going when he closed her eyes but it’s a wonderful colour study. Packs a lot in.

Oh poor girl! I agree with icy it was a wonderful colour study.

I think I found a typo “he trailed his fingers down the side of her check ” should that be cheek?

Short and creepy. Love how you worked out the details into such a short space.

Hi there Lara – I like it. When I got to the twist, that’s exactly what I said aloud. Plenty of verdant greeny green-ness in there.
